ACT Partners invited to the UNISDR Conference in Venice
ACT Partners – Municipality of Ancona, ADEP Patras and ISPRA - attended the conference “Building cities' resilience to disasters: protecting cultural heritage and adapting to climate change” organized by UNISDR (United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction Secretariat) in Venice (Italy) on 19-20 March 2012.
The UNISDR has invited ACT Partners to the Conference.
This event has examined the key role played by disaster risk reduction measures towards the protection of cultural heritage by exploring climate change adaptation policies and plans at local level.
A poster session was organized and ACT partners have shown the actions taken by the ACT project.
Ancona has prepared a poster with the results of the assessment on cultural heritage, with the support of ISPRA.
At the end of the 2 days Conference, the ACT Municipalities have signed the “Final Venice Declaration on building resilience at local level towards Protected cultural heritage and climate change adaptation strategies.”
