Bullas: winner of the “Awards of Sustainable Development 2011”
The ACT partner, Municipality of Bullas, is one of the winners of the "Awards of Sustainable Development 2011".
The Regional Government of Murcia, through its Monitoring Commission of the Social Pact for the Environment, has chosen the winners of the "Awards of Sustainable Development 2011". These awards are for enterprises, institutions or groups which have made efforts on environmental issues beyond those established by laws and regulations.
This initiative started in 2002 and has no economic funding. Winners get a public acknowledgment at regional level. This year the Municipality of Bullas has got one of these awards under the category of "Initiatives of Adaptation for the Climate Change Impact" after the work that the municipality is developing to create the Local Adaptation Plan in the framework of LIFE ACT Project.
